Hi, this is Jong-Ki Kim.
Thank you so much for visiting the Blue Tree Foundation’s website.
Government, company, and NGO are often referred to as the three pillars leading modern society. The Blue Tree Foundation has been working hard to resolve school violence since 1995 by serving a role of oxygen which cannot be done by the government and companies.
After 24 years of dedication to console the soul of my son and wash out my guilt, BTF has done a remarkable amount of volunteer works. We have legislated school violence laws, activated school violence SOS supporting group, and done many other activities. Every year, BTF has been supporting 20,000 cases of emergency counseling, emergency dispatches for dispute settlements, and others from 14 offices across the nation. Apart from these efforts, through education, civic movements, scholarships, publications and other efforts, BTF has been devoted to helping disadvantaged adolescents and suffering families.
Since school violence is an issue that is directly related to our children’s safety, many people have showed us great amount of attention. All of these would not have been possible without constant support from government and citizens. Compared to the past, social awareness and institutions on school violence have been greatly improved. Despite this, the number of suffering children and families has not been reduced that much.
I would like to express my gratitude and appreciation to all the supporters, officers, and staff who devoted themselves to our foundation. We have seen hope from difficulties through your support that enabled seemingly impossible things to happen. We will always try our best to protect the rights of the disadvantaged and suffering children, and to make a better world.
The Blue Tree Foundation will not neglect our duties and we look forward to gradually develop as an NGO representing Korea that stands by you and your children.
Thank you.
